Common Investment Questions
If you are interested in investing, all you have to do is connect with us. After that, you’ll gain access to our offerings and will be able to directly invest your hard-earned money. While many deals require you to be an accredited investor, some don’t.
An accredited investor, as defined by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), must satisfy at least one of the following:
- Have an annual income of $200,000, or $300,000 for joint income, for each of the last two years, with expectations of earning the same or higher income this year, or
- Have a net worth exceeding $1 million, not counting your primary home.
Certification is not required to meet the definition of an accredited investor.
In typical real estate syndications, the general partner(s) will find a property to buy. Once they vet the deal and determine that it is a good deal they will then create an offering to limited partners to pool their money together to purchase a larger property than anyone individually would be able to do by themselves.
The general partner will be responsible for the day to day operations and the limited partners will start to receive dividends typically quarterly. The typical holding period is 3 to 5 years.
With most multifamily real estate syndications, the minimal investment is usually $50,000, but each offer is unique. The typical minimum range is from $25,000 to $100,000.
You may choose to invest in the following ways:
- As an individual
- Using an LLC or another business entity
- Through a self directed IRA account
You should invest in areas that you understand, with people whom you trust, and with vehicles that will help you meet your financial goals.
I take the time to develop a relationship with the investors with whom I work to make sure that multifamily real estate investing is the right path for them.
As a full-time physician, most of the investors that I work with are medical professionals, but you do NOT need to be a physician or medical professional for us to work together. Our investors come from all walks of life, some retired, some just looking to diversify their investment portfolio with someone they trust.
“I still love practicing medicine, but I am using passive income from investing to be able to practice medicine on my own terms rather than relying solely on my salary.”
